Woolton Hill and Highclere Village Market Christmas edition, Thorngrove School, 10am to 1pm.
Stalls from dozens of local and independent small businesses selling produce, gifts and more. Free Santa’s grotto for children, big raffle and charity tea room.
National Animal Welfare Trust Berkshire Christmas market, Park House School, 10am to 4pm, £3, under 18s go free.
The market will have a variety of food, games, crafts and raffles for everyone to take part in whilst supporting rescue animals in need this Christmas.
Book sale, Wash Common Library, Glendale Avenue, 10am to 12pm.
Books for sale including fiction, non fiction, cookery, children’s and much more.
Fabric winter sale, The Old Chapel Textile Centre, Greenham Business Park, 10am to 4pm.
Fabrics from £1 per metre. Yarns, haberdashery, kits, bags and gifts all at great prices. Also open Tuesday, December 3 to Saturday, December 7.
Kennet Accordion Orchestra concert, St Lawrence’s Church, Hungerford, 1pm to 3pm, £7.50.

Sunday
Santa fun run, Market Place, 10.30am meet for 11am start.
Registration is closed for entries but come along to cheer on the Santas taking part. The 1km route covers Northbrook Street, Park Way and Victoria Park before returning to the Market Place. 5km runners continue to Northcroft Lane, Moor Lane and Speen before returning via Strawberry Hill and Northbrook Street to the Market Place. Organised by Newbury Rotary Club.

Kintbury Wildlife Group meeting, Coronation Hall, Inkpen Road, 7.30pm, £3.
Peter Eeles, founder of the popular UK Butterflies website, will speak on “British and Irish Butterfly Rarities”, an exploration of rare, extinct, and introduced species of the British Isles.
