RNLI 200th anniversary concert, The Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel, Pangbourne College, 7pm to 10pm, £16.96.

Join The Reading Male Voice Choir, The Senior Songsters Shanty Group and Pangbourne RNLI at the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel to celebrate 200 years of the RNLI. The evening will be packed full of maritime songs, sea shanties and tales from the life saving activities of Tower RNLI Station. Mulled wine will be served during the interval. Local history talk, Boxford Heritage Centre, 2.30pm, free.

‘Boxford Folk: from Blacksmiths to Admirals’ will be a lighthearted look at the characters who have lived in Boxford from someone with a long family history there. Free entry but donations welcome.

Monday

Bradfield Historical Society meeting, Bradfield Southend Cricket Club Pavilion, Heath Road, 7.30pm.

Local historian David Peacock will give a talk on the history of Donnington Castle. There is no entry fee, but a donation of £4 per person towards expenses would be appreciated.

Kintbury Wildlife Group meeting, Coronation Hall, Inkpen Road, 7.30pm, £3.

Local resident Ed Makin will talk on The Kintbury Eco Centre, his project to restore and promote wildlife on the Kintbury Chase between Kintbury and Inkpen.
