Ballroom, sequence and Latin dancing. Music from David Last. Raising money for Newbury Cancer Care. No bar so bring nibbles.

Woolton Hill and Highclere Village Market, Thorngrove School, 10.30am to 1pm.

First market at its new location of Thorngrove School's sports hall. Will be opened by Lord Carnarvon. More than 40 stalls to browse.

Book signing by local author, Hungerford Bookshop, 10.30am to 12pm.

Jerry Crowther will be signing copies of his new novel Just Deserts.

Red coat clothing exchange, Kennet Christian Centre, Enborne Road, 11.30am to 3pm.

Family quiz night, Mary Hare School, 6pm to 9pm, £1 per person.

A fun quiz suitable for all the family. Prizes for the winner and snacks and refreshments for sale. Raffle on the night as well.

Bingo night, Greenham Community Centre, 7pm. £1.

Admission fee goes towards big cash prizes at Christmas for regular players.

Bringing you the very best of local designers, creators, makers and bakers as well as the freshest seasonal food and artisanal produce. Featuring over 60 stalls.

Blue plaque unveiling, 58 West Street, Newbury, 11am.

Blue plaque for John Newport Langley, Cambridge Professor of Physiology, born in Newbury and one of the founders of modern medicine. To be unveiled by the Mayor of Newbury, Gary Norman.
