THERE are plenty of events in West Berkshire today (Sat) to keep everyone entertained.

As one of their UN70 Anniversary Events, Newbury U. N. Association Branch will be holding a coffee morning from 10am to midday, hosted by the mayor in the Town Hall, Market Place. It includes a Display of Flags of the Nations.

Call in for coffee and cake at the special price of £1.50, and take the opportunity to view the renovated paintings which are exhibited there.

Cold Ash Tennis Club family fun day wiil also take place. The club are inviting people to come along and try their hand at a variety of fun games which it says are more about participation than competition.

Activities include a short tennis tournament, rounders, volley badminton, Hula Hoop and juggling and Kwik Cricket.

Visitors are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the activities on offer. For more details call (01635) 273210.

The popular Aldermaston and Wasing Show will return and once again feature the 'Duck Derby' where over 1,000 ducks take part in races that run throughout the whole afternoon.

The Kennet Valley Woodturners will be one of the main attractions in the craft tent with regular practical exhibitions of woodturning.

If horticulture is more your thing, the Enborne and Hamstead Marshall Garden Society annual flower and craft show is taking place from 2pm at Hazel Paddock, opposite Enborne School.

There will be craft stalls, side shows, tombola, raffle, refreshments and a barbecue on the day.

In the football,Thatcham will host New College in the FA Vase.

In the cricket, Falkland II will entertain Wokingham II.
