CatTICA All Breeds Cat Club will be holding its annual Cat show at Northcroft Leisure Centre on Saturday and Sunday.
The sports hall will be closed from 4pm on Friday January 22 and will re open on Monday January 25.
The Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) will be hosting 'Moss Walk' - the first in a series of short walks to discover the beauty of mosses.
Join Peter Creed for a look at the variety of mosses to be found at Snelsmore Common.
Magnifying glasses and hand lenses will be provided, but people are advised to bring their own if they have them.
Given the unpredictable nature of the weather, those attending are also asked to wear sturdy boots or wellingtons and if it is raining, waterproof clothing.
The walk is £6.00 and suitable for those aged seven and over, although dogs are not permitted.
Meet at Snelsmore Common Country Park car park, approximately two miles north of Newbury on the B4494.
If sport is more your thing, here will be netball action at Kennet School.
