SPORTS fixtures, music and crafts are among the line-up of things to do today (Sat), in Newbury and beyond.

Craft lovers and anyone interested in techniques used to make walking sticks, or shepherds crooks may like to visit a free drop-in day hosted by Calleva Stickdressers. The group's workday, is from 9am to 3.30pm, at Beenham Memorial Hall, Picklepythe Lane, Beenham, . Various sticks will be on show made by members and some will be working on current projects. Football fans should head for the 3pm kick-off of a Waterside Park match, where Thatcham take on Milton United.
Anyone who prefers hockey can watch a 3pm match, involving Newbury and Thatcham, versus Marlow, at Henwick.
