Bikes, beasts and…Frisbees. Lots to do in West Berkshire this Sunday. Check out our round-up of the best bits.

John O’ Gaunt School in Hungerford is the starting point for the Black Legend cycle race which takes in the scenic routes of the Berkshire, Lambourn and Marlborough Downs along quiet country lanes and through quaint country villages.

The timed race commences for riders between 8am and 10am – with registration at 7.30am.

There are three routes which all climb passed Combe Gibbet offering short (45m priced £25), standard (65m priced £27) and epic (80m priced £29) routes.

For some off-beat fun the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre plays host to the recycled arts workshop which will teach you how to make your own Frisbee.

Hosted by enthusiastic recycler Jill Nicholas from 11am participants can learn how to make Frisbees using used laminated posters and notices.

Prices are £1 per item.

Predators are unleashed at the UK Wolf Conservation Centre at Beenham today where for the cost of £120 per person you can spend the day with some of the world’s most powerful hunters from the animal kingdom.

As well as the chance to get up close and personal with the Trust’s very own wolves there are also Harris Hawks, owls and falcons to see.

Booking is essential and is recommended for ages 16 and above.
