Battle of Britain flypast over Headley
SHAW House summer fair and dog show, guided walks and relaxing summer music in the great outdoors - and a Battle of Britain air show - are among a host of things to do in Newbury and beyond today (Sunday).
A fantastic Help for Heroes fundraising weekend continues today at the 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park and Family Farm, off the A339 in Headley, just over the Berkshire/Hampshire border.
The Military Wives Choir is expected at 11am today for a performance then at around 3pm this afternoon, a Battle of Britain flypast will take place - weather permitting.
The farm will host some 30 members of the charity's Band of Brothers, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
There will be lots of fun and family entertainment, including archery, with military vehicles - also weather permitting and the 4 Help for Heroes bears to meet and greet children, with donations invited. A percentage of proceeds of entry fees from the two-day fundraiser, which kicked off yesterday (Sat) will go to the charity.
Shaw House Summer Fair and dog show returns to the historic venue, in Church Road, from 11am to 4pm, entry £1 per adult, children 16 and under free, with children's rides, live music, a barbecue and Mr Muddles the magician.
There will also be craft stalls, a bouncy castle, cream teas and ice creams, a Pimms tent and locally produced ales.
Elsewhere, join a guided walk around Newbury along the the Kennet and Avon Canal, led by Phil Wood, local historian. From 2.30pm to 3.30pm, meet Newbury Town Hall
Tennis fans pining for Wimbledon should head for Hungerford Tennis Club Open Day, at The Croft, from 10am to 4.30pm. Free. Barbecue £4 from 12.30pm. Details at: info@hungerford-tennis,co.uk.

Feeling energetic? Head for the Twist elite 10k and 5k runs over Kingsclere Downland, setting off at 10.30am from the Fieldgate Centre in the village, with the aim of raising funds for the centre.
A plethora of relaxing summer sounds today to choose from includes in Newbury, Watership Brass will entertain from 3pm to 5pm, at the bandstand at Victoria Park.
