Children are also invited today to forget

The event starts at 10am at Brackenhurst Lane, the opposite side of the common to the Control Tower Car Park and is suitable for boys and girls aged 8-14 years. Suitable old clothing and sturdy shoes or boots are recommended.
Prices are £15 per child and booking and registration is essential and can be made through contacting the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre on 01635 874381.

The 5-hour event starts at 1pm at the Nuffield Health centre in the Nuffield Health Gym at the Newbury Racecourse.
There is music around the district, too, this weekend. In Hungerford, from 7.30pm at The Croft Hall there is an evening of live jazz music from Pete Allen and his Reeds N’ Rhythm band; tickets from £13.50.
