At the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife trust are showcasing a clutter of Big Bouncy Spiders for a day that is certainly not for the squeamish.
The recycled arts workshop is being run by Jill Nicholas, a recycling enthusiast who will be on hand to show members of the public some ingenious ways to recycle their rubbish.
The drop-in event is from 11am until 4pm and costs £1 per item for participants.
Newbury’s Corn Exchange plays host this afternoon to a Bolshoi production of The Pharaoh’s Daughter that brings Theophile Gauthier’s novel Le Roman de La Momie to life by French choreographer Pierre Lacotte.
Tickets for the exotic performance are £14 for the show which starts at 3pm.
Also on offer this weekend is a performance of Peter Pan at The Watermill Theatre at Bagnor.
The play which kicked off last Thursday and is in its opening weekend is priced from £10.50 upward and tells the children’s classic of a boy that never wanted to grow up in the perilous world of Neverland.
