Getting into the swing of the World Cup, organisers are hosting a five aside football tournament and a fun tug of war competition. Teams can be male, female or mixed.
And back by popular demand is the East Ilsley wife carrying race, with last year’s event seeing people carry their wives, daughters and other people’s wives over the line.
The village craft and produce tents will also return, with cakes, knitting, sewing, painting and crafting on display to be judged in the various competitions.
Organisers are also hoping to have a group of World War Two reenactors in the meadow, along with vintage vehicles.
Entry to the fete is free and raffle tickets will be available on the gate.
The fun carries on into night with an evening dance starting at 7pm with a children’s disco, followed by an adult disco from 8pm.

West Berkshire Council’s Executive Councillor for the Environment, Dominic Boeck, said: “As a nation, we throw away seven million tonnes of food and drink each year, the majority of which could have been eaten. Families could save up to £60 a month by planning meals and using up leftover foods.”
General Manager for Veolia in West Berkshire, Mark Gray, said: “If you have food waste that can’t be used again, like tea bags, vegetable peelings and leftovers from the plate; remember, these can all easily be recycled in your green bin.”
