What's on today (Sat) in Newbury and beyond





Australian company, Taking Shape, will open at 2/3 Bartholomew Street at 12pm and all are invited to go along for some free celebratory cake and champagne.
The British Heart Foundation is hosting a bagathon today.
In its bid to collect a million bags of donated items across the country, people are being invited to go along to the Market Place store throughout the day to donate a bag of items.
Cold Ash Horticultural Society Summer Sow also takes place today at the Acland Hall, Hermitage Road.
Visitors can view the displays from 2pm to 5pm, after the judging has taken place.
Categories include fruit and vegetables, flowers, baking, handcrafts, photography, and a junior section.
Also on today is a beer festival, vintage car show and craft festival at the Carpenters Arms in Burghclere.
There will be 11 real ales, guest ciders, a bouncy castle and a barbecue as well as bands in the evening.
It takes place from noon until late.
