Dingley is a charity which supports children aged 0 to five with special needs and disabilities.
The coffee morning has been organised by one of the charity’s founders, Ravi Manthena, whose daughter, Sahithi, used to attend the West Berkshire centre.
She said: "The charity helped me and my family a lot by supporting Sahithi in her early years with her condition.
“She enjoyed going to Dingley and has made friends with whom she loves to meet and she expresses this by smiling in her own way.”
The event is taking place on Saturday, June 7 in Newbury town hall, from 10am till noon.
Around the world summer fete at John Rankin infant school from 3-5pm. Free entry. Bouncy castle, splat the rat, book and toy stalls, BBQ, tombola, father’s day crafts, face paints, raffle etc. Also a visit from guest star Barry the Bear from Newbury Building Society.
A barbeque, beer tent and tea stand will join the traditional summer fete attractions at Speen recreation ground today.
With six-a-side football matches, children’s games, a coconut shy and a crèche for little ones, as well as several stalls selling bric-a-brac to plants, there will be lots on offer at the event, which starts at 2pm.
All funds raised at the event will support local causes, including the Majendie Hall community project, the Pensioners Christmas Lunch and Robert Sandilands Primary School.
Next up Waterside social Club are holding a Summer Fete at Waterside Park (home of Thatcham Town FC) starting at midday .
The aim of the day is to raise money for Starlight, a charity that brightens the lives of seriously and terminally ill children .
There will be a mini Beer Festival , Skittles , BBQ , Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos , Bouncy Castle , Side Stalls , Tea and Cakes , Side Stalls , Penalty Shoot Out , Craft Stalls , Punch and Judy Car Boot and much more .
Finally there is an outdoor screening of Mamma Mia at Shaw House. Gates open at 7.30 with the film – cert PG - starting after sunset at 9.15pm. Attendees are invited to bring a picnic. There will also be a barbeque, ‘Pimms’ tent and light refreshments on offer.
