SATURDAY kicks off what promises to be a bumper bank holiday weekend.
There’s plenty to do across both West Berkshire and Hampshire this Saturday.
Newbury FC will be hosting a charity fundraising and auction day in order to raise funds to pay its legal costs in its battle with West Berkshire Council.
The council will kick the club out of its Faraday Road Ground in June 2018 so it can redevelop the London Road Industrial Estate and has so far, not found a suitable replacement site.
The event features veterans and kids tournaments - on all day - plus penalty shoot outs and entertainment for the whole family.
This includes face and nail painting, a kiddies play area and lots of stalls such as a tombola, cake stand, raffle and refreshments.
A disco and auction will take place from 7pm.
Truck-lovers will be glad to hear that the UK’s largest truck show is coming to Newbury Showground, Chieveley, on Saturday and Sunday (9am to 5.30pm).
Truckfest South is gearing up to be one of the best yet, with organisers promising more trucks, celebrities and entertainment this year.
There will be monster trucks and daring motorcycle stunts on display in the main arena, as well as live music and plenty of events to keep children entertained.
Lisa Kelly and Todd Dewey, the stars of the popular reality TV series Ice Road Truckers will be greeting fans all weekend and they will be joined by Ronnie and Amy Shirley from the US reality series ‘Lizard Lick Towing.
Free parking is available onsite, and disabled parking will be allocated to customers with a blue sign.
In Hampshire, Tadley's hugely popular 'Tea party' makes its return.
It will be held from midday to late and feature live music and other entertainment.
There will be a range of activities and refreshments on offer throughout the day including a funfair.
If sport is more your thing, Falkland will host Yateley in the cricket at Enborne Lodge.
