What's on today (Sunday)

It's Day two of the Hungerford Literary festival and Sunday kicks off with the award-winning, best-seller Rachel Joyce in conversation with Lis Allen about her novel The Love Song of Miss Queenie Hennessy.
A library of literary festivities is also promised for the annual event today including The Bookshop Band, comedian and popular crime writer mark Billingham and fellow writer Martyn Waites.
From a library to a bushel, on the other side of the district in Thatcham is the annual Apple Day from 11am at the Community Orchard, Nature Discover Centre in Lower Way.
There will be music, dancing, games and quizzes for all the family and you can even have a go at pulping your own apples into fresh apple juice at the event which runs until 3pm.
It is an arty weekend across West Berkshire as The Big Draw 2014 also comes to City Arts Newbury from 11am until 3pm.
Participants are encouraged to simply turn up and pick up a pencil to get sketching for the community event. The theme for budding artists is: “your street – your community – your drawings.”
From 3pm an afternoon of live jazz music and songs with honorary citizen of New Orleans and Britain’s most exciting clarinettist Pete Allen will be held at the Regency park Hotel, Thatcham. Tickets are £10 on the door.
