Lots to do in West Berkshire

Runners will be taking on the Highclere 10k run around Highclere Castle from 10.30am.

West Berkshire Ramblers will be meet in the car park on the northern side of the long straight road from Upper Bucklebury to Chapel Row (grid ref SU557691) at 9.30am for an 11-mile route to Hermitage via Hawkridge Wood, returning via The Slade. The weekend walk will be stopping of for lunch at the Fox Inn, Hermitage (or bring a picnic).

Those planning to tie the knot can get some inspiration at a Wedding Show at The Racecourse, Newbury, from 11am until 3.30pm including a bridal fashion show at 1pm.

The Rose of Hungerford will be running public canal cruises along the Kennet and Avon Canal.

Trips start from Hungerford wharf with two and half hour trips (starting at 2.30pm) costing £7 for adults, seniors £6 and children's tickets (3 and over) costing £4.50, family ticket £21.

All one and a half hour trips (starting at 11.30am), costing adults £6, seniors £5, and £4 for children (3 and over) with a family ticket costing £17.

Over the border there will be an art exhibition at St Paul's Church in Ashford Hill, Hampshire. The exhibition will feature work from 30 artists and a selection of craft stalls from 11am to 3pm. The event will be raising money for St Paul's church roof and spire.
