What's on today (Sunday)

Sunday sees a whole host of events, activities and entertainment come to West Berkshire meaning you won't be stuck for things to do.

The Bayer 10k returns with runners setting off at 10am, finishing in the Market Place.

There is also a 0.9km run for five to 11-year-old beginning at 9.10am and a 1.5km run for under-16s starts at 9.20am.

The annual run supports hospice Naomi House and Jacksplace and race organiser Newbury Athletic Club.

Last year, around 930 men, women and children took part, raising £13,510.

The Berkshire Country Fayre is also taking place today on the Englefield Estate where there will be plenty for all ages to enjoy.

The fair helps to raise money for the Berkshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs and members will be on hand with exhibition classes.

The event takes place from 9am until 5pm and tickets cost £7 (£4 concessions, under-fives free).

The UK’s largest truck show will be in full swing as Truckfest South enters its second day.

The event at Newbury Showground, Chieveley will be on from 9am to 5.30pm with organisers this year promising more trucks, celebrities and entertainment than ever before.

There will be monster trucks and daring motorcycle stunts on display in the main arena, as well as live music and plenty of events to keep children entertained.

Free parking is available onsite, and disabled parking will be allocated to customers with a blue sign.

You could also join the BBOWT seasonal wardens for a bug hunt on the Greenham Common, home to hundreds of mini-beasts.

The Bug Hunt is part of a series by the local wildlife trust around Greenham Common this summer. For more information, see www.bbowt.org.uk/whats-on or call 01635 874381
