If you enjoy gardens you're in for a treat today (Sunday) as open gardens events are being held across the district.
Hampstead Norreys Open Gardens – eight gardens open 2pm-6pm. Teas and homemade cakes at the church, plants for sale and treasure hunt and games for children.
Tickets available in advance from Hampstead Norreys Community Shop and on the day from the church. £7 for adults for all the gardens and under 16s free. In aid of St Mary’s Church Roof Appeal. www.hampsteadnorreys.org.uk
Inkpen Open Gardens. 2pm-5pm, Kirby House, Upper Green and The Old Rectory, Lower Green. £6 combined admission to both, children free. In aid of NGS nursing and health charities.Teas (in aid of the village church) available opposite the Old Rectory
Stockcross Open Gardens, 1pm-5pm. Rookwood Farmhouse and Springfield Cottage. Combined admission £5, children free. Teas and homemade cakes available at Rookwood
Brimpton Open Gardens, 2pm-6pm. Tickets available from the church on the day – £10 family of four, £3 per person. Car parking adjacent to the church. Open garden at the Tithe Barn, Tidmarsh, Berkshire,2-5pm. Admission £3.50, children free. Home-made teas at adjacent Norman church.
Elsewhere, the Newbury Radio Rally will be held at Newbury Showground between 9am-3.30pm (traders from 8am).

Guided walk around the Market Place and Cheap Street, led by Newbury historian David Peacock, will set off at 2.30pm Meet at Newbury Town Hall.
Newbury District Ornithological Society will set off on a morning visit to Chimney Meadows, a BBOWT reserve near the Thames at Bampton. Meet in the reserve car park at 9am (Grid ref SP354013). All welcome but please ring (01488) 668482 in advance
