Wiggle Magnificat cycle races on today (Sunday)
A series of cycle races will set off from Newbury Racecourse to raise money for two charities
CYCLISTS are being invited to take part in this years Wiggle Magnificat at Newbury Racecourse this morning (Sunday).
The family event hopes to bring together a range of cyclists from the experienced and competitive to leisure and community cyclists.
Distances for the rides vary to suite all abilities, with the longest race being the 127 mile MagnifiCat, the 81 mile InterCat and the 51 mile CommuniCat.
There are also family events on the day open to everyone including the KiddiCat 2.5 mile multi-lap challenge, the ‘Go Ride' 0.5 mile grass track race and the static bike time trial competition.
The first cyclists will leave the racecourse at 8am.
Last year more than £17,000 was raised and the organisers will continue this year towards supporting their charities, The Fire Fighters Charity and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
