Wildlife badge-making fun for kids!

Children can visit their local library over the school half-term to learn about birds

THE ROYAL Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) are holding free-of-charge badgemaking activities for children, at libraries across West Berkshire over half term - beginning today (Saturday).

The charity will provide wildlife magazines and a badgemaking machine so that children can choose a picture of an animal, make it into a badge and ask questions about birds.

Badgemaking takes about five to ten minutes and parents or carers must stay with their child. No tickets required for the drop-in sessions.

The event also provides opportunity to borrow some books, or a story tape. Joining and borrowing at West Berkshire Libraries is free of charge.

The badgemaking sessions are at local libraries as follows:

Thatcham Library - Saturday, February 19, 10.30 am to 12pm

Lambourn Library - Wednesday, February 23, 10.30am to 12pm

Hungerford Library - Wednesday, February 23, 2pm to 3.30pm

Pangbourne Library - Friday, February 25, 10.30am to 12pm.

Theale Library - Friday, February 25, 2.30pm to 4pm

Burghfield Common Library - Saturday, February 26, 10.30am to 12pm
