Berkshire Youth and the Waterside Centre have shared their Christmas Wish Tree

A charity is asking the community to help give young people access to life-changing experiences and opportunities this Christmas.

Berkshire Youth and the Waterside Centre have shared their Wish Tree as Christmas approaches.

And they are inviting businesses and individuals to support young people in the community by purchasing a tree decoration that represents a wish from a child or young carer.

They can do this by selecting an option from the list below.

Many of the young people the charity works with are vulnerable or come disadvantaged backgrounds and are unable to access help elsewhere.

Wish donation list:

Hot chocolate and cake voucher at the Waterside Centre Café (£10),

Toastie and hot drink voucher at the Waterside Centre Café (£10),

New school bag/equipment Amazon voucher (£15),

Primark voucher (£20),

Christmas jumper (£20),

Cinema voucher for two (£20),

Climbing Session for two at the Waterside Centre (£20),

Ugly Duckling Pottery, Newbury voucher (£20),

Ice skating voucher, Ozone Bracknell for two (£25),

Ice skating voucher, Ozone Bracknell for four (£50),

Nike voucher (£25),

Skateboard (£25),

Nando’s restaurant voucher (£25/£50),

Linkee board game (£30),

Corn Exchange Pantomime voucher for two (£50),

Fishing rod £60,

Man City Football Shirt (£80),

A mentor for a young person for a month at the Waterside Centre (£100),

Or a mountain bike (£200).

Once they’ve supported a wish, the charity will display their Christmas decoration – featuring their business logo or company name – on its Christmas Wish Tree at the Waterside Centre, where it will be seen by the whole community.

The charity will then keep everyone updated on how these contributions are making a difference through regular social media updates.
