Wine tasting evening boosts funds for Kingsclere Twinning Association

Hosted by the association at Kingsclere Primary school recently (March 14), for some 50 people, supper consisted of home-made pizzas, cooked freshly on the premises by Eddie George and
his team of helpers, with wine tasting notes provided by Trevor Pitman for six wines.
This was followed by a food and drink quiz, devised by Sue Watson, chairwoman of the association.
A magnum of champagne was also raffled.
“A good evening was had by all,” said Sarah Davis, a member of the association.
The event raised £233 for the twinning association, towards funds to entertain a party of French people from the association’s twin village of Cormicy, during a visit from June 7 to 9.
The association is seeking families willing to host the French people during this June visit. Anyone able to offer hospitality should email kingscleretwinning@yahoo.co.uk.
