A frosty start to the week as temperatures remain below zero for much of West Berkshire and North Hampshire

It was another cold and frosty morning to welcome the new week across West Berkshire and North Hampshire.

And as the district awoke to icy conditions these beautiful frosty views were captured by our photographer Phil Cannings in Thatcham on Monday.

As temperatures plummeted to way below zero overnight, he found the lake at the Nature Discovery Centre had partially frozen over.

But it didn't seem to bother the flocks of birds and ducks that were still gathered at the nature reserve.

The icy conditions provided a wintery backdrop for these lovely images, showing Mother Nature in all her glory.
