Winterbourne hayrick blaze put down to controlled burning

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Winterbourne hay fire last Thursday evening (Jan 29).
One pump was called at 6.30pm from Newbury Fire Station, to the Wantage Road, at the junction of Winterbourne Road.
The fire was later put down to the burning of a loose straw bale on farmland.
