Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses after Valentine's Day crash




Police are appealing for any dash-cam footage or witnesses to a Valentine's Day crash.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to a collision involving a black Mercedes Benz CLK200 convertible and a silver Hyundai i800 people carrier on The Meadway, Tilehurst, near to the junction with Dee Road, at around 3.35pm on Monday (February 14).

The Mercedes is reported to have collided with around 10 wooden posts, pulling them out of the ground, prior to a head-on collision with the Hyundai.

PC Michael Greaves-Hurd, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“I am also appealing for anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the collision or any footage of the vehicles prior to the collision to get in touch.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43220068921.”
