Thames Valley Police confirm Hermitage Co-op raid




BURGLARS have struck at a Co-op store.

Police have appealed for information following a raid on the shop in Newbury Road, Hermitage, which happened around 10.45pm on Monday night, February 28.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "We received a report of an intruder alarm at around 10.45pm.

"Officers attended and found the front door was forced open and the shutter forced partially up and two safes behind the tills had been broken into with a large quantity of cash stolen.

"The offenders are described as two men both wearing tracksuit-type clothing and with their faces concealed.

"Anyone with information should call us on 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43220090956".
