Witnesses of racial abuse in Newbury sought




Two men and a woman assault man in the wharf

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was racially abused in Newbury town centre.

Two men and a woman racially abused a 21-year-old man at a kebab van in Wharf car park on Wednesday night.

Following the racial abuse, one of then men smashed one of the van's windows.

The incident occurred at 10.15pm on December, 12.

The first man is described as white, tall and of average build, aged 30 to 40 years old with short blond hair and blue eyes.

The second man is also white and of average height with dark hair.

The woman, also white, was wearing a white jacket and blue jeans; and is shorter than the two men.

PC John Cunneen, of Newbury police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident as they may be able to provide details to help the investigation.”
