Poilce appeal for witnesses after woman attacked with rock in Thatcham




A woman has been hospitalised after a rock was thrown at her head.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information relating to an incident of actual bodily harm (ABH), which occurred in Thatcham on Saturday, May 18.

At 6.50pm, a boy threw a rock at a woman in her forties in the alleyway between Bath Road and Bourne Arch/Loundyes Close, causing injuries to her head.

Investigating officer, PC Alasdair Ferrie, said: “We would like to appeal to anybody who may have witnessed this incident or have CCTV or dash-cam footage in the area to please get in touch.”

Police describe the offender as a white teenage boy, of a short build, who was wearing shorts with a white shirt.

He was also seen with a small push scooter.

The woman was hospitalised, but has since been discharged.
