Newbury woman caught drug-driving

A WOMAN has been caught driving after taking cannabis.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, August 30, was Rebecca Williamson.

The 29-year-old, of Martingale Chase, Newbury, admitted driving a Skoda Kamiq on Villiers Way, Newbury, on Saturday, April 16, when the amount of the Class B-controlled drug in her system exceeded the specified limit.

Magistrates adjourned in order for a special hearing to be arranged to consider whether there are special reasons for not imposing a driving ban.

Ms Williamson was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
