Reading Magistrates’ Court: Mortimer woman caught drug-driving




A WOMAN was caught behind the wheel after taking drugs.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 10, was Georgia Batty.

The 24-year-old, of Tayberry Grove, Mortimer, admitted driving a Vauxhall Corsa on the A4 Bath Road near Reading on November 22 last year when the amount of a metabolite of cannabis, a Class B-controlled drug, in her system, exceeded the specified limit.

Ms Batty was fined £300.

In addition, she was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory vicim services surcharge of £120.

Finally, Ms Batty was banned from driving for 12 months.
