Newbury woman Lauren Smith caught drug-driving in Lambourn




A WOMAN was caught drug-driving in Lambourn.

Lauren Smith appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 19.

The 28-year-old, of Mill Lane, Newbury, admitted possessing a quantity of the Class A-controlled drug in the village on September 5 last year.

She further admitted driving a BMW 320d on the B4000 near Hill Drop Lane, Lambourn, on the same occasion.

Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

They ordered these on an ‘all options’ basis, including custody.

Ms Smith, who was legally represented by Heulwen Everton, was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
