Woman cut out of car on A34 near Burghclere




Removed on spinal board by paramedics and fire fighters

A WOMAN was removed from a car on a spinal board after an accident on the A34 near Burghclere this morning (Thursday).

Two fire engines were called from Newbury Fire Station at 11am, to the A34 northbound about two miles south of Beacon Hill, at the Tot Hill junction, to an accident involving a Renault Clio.

Firefighters cut the roof off the car after a woman passenger was complaining of neck pain, following an impact on the passenger side of the car, discovered on its wheels on the grass verge.

The woman was then removed on a spinal board from the car before being taken to hospital.

The driver was uninjured.

It was not known if any other vehicle was involved in the accident.

One lane was closed during the incident.

Firefighters left the scene at 12pm
