Woman cut out of car on M4 between Newbury and Reading
Watch manager of White Watch at Newbury Fire Station, Phil Knight, said one pump from Newbury and a second from Whitley Wood, were called at 9.30am to a single vehicle accident involving a Mercedes, on the M4 westbound, between junctions 12 and 13.
Firefighters cut the roof off the car to release a woman trapped in the vehicle.
She was then removed from the car on a spinal board and taken to hospital.
One lane of the motorway was closed during the incident.
Firefighters left the scene after about an hour.

South Central Ambulance Service confirm ambulances were sent to the scene and a woman was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading with minor injuries.
