Woman cut out of flipped car in Tilehurst

Road closed during incident Sunday evening
FIREFIGHTERS cut a woman out of a flipped car in Tilehurst yesterday (Sunday) evening.
One pump frm Dee Road, Tilehurst and another from Caversham Road, Reading, were called at 8m to Westwood Road, where a blue Ford KA was on is roof.
The single vehicle accident had trapped an elderly woman inside the vehicle, the only occupant.
Firefighters cut the doors and boot off the vehicle to free the woman who was placed on a spinal board before being taken to hospital.
The road was closed throughout the incident.
Firefighters left the scene at 9.20pm.
