Twenty-nine-year-old Ms Muss, formerly of The Nightingales, Newbury, now lives in Conway Road, Calcot.

She spoke only to confirm her details and to plead not guilty to the single charge when she appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, December 14.

The court heard the offence involves her former partner and Simon Hammudi, defending, said he was waiting for CCTV footage of the incident to be produced.

He indicated he would be calling two witnesses on behalf of his client, who denies speaking the words alleged.

District judge Samuel Goozee told Ms Muss the case could proceed no further that day.

He adjourned it until March 19, when the hour-and-a-half trial is scheduled to take place.

Ms Muss was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
