A WOMAN is to go on trial accused of assaulting police.
Summer Double appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, August 20.
The 26-year-old, of Carcaixent Square in Newbury, is charged with assaulting PC Nadia Hazou, who was exercising her duty, in Newbury on February 2.
Ms Double, who was legally represented at the hearing, spoke only to confirm her details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
She was told the case could proceed no further that day and that it would be adjourned for a trial to be arranged.
Ms Double was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
