A MOTORIST has denied a charge of drink-driving.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 3, was Emma Hills.

The 40-year-old, of Audrey Court, off Station Road in Padworth, is accused of driving a Mini Cooper on Lower Way, Thatcham, on July 3 last year after drinking more than the legal limit.

The charge did not specify by how much the alcohol in her system exceeded the specified limit.

Ms Hills spoke only to confirm her details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.

She was told the case could proceed no further that day and district judge Samuel Goozee adjourned it for a trial to be arranged.

Ms Hills was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
