A WOMAN has been accused of harassing a man in a domestic context.

On Tuesday, October 12, Reading magistrates held a preliminary hearing into the case against Sophia Emma Sparkes.

The 43-year-old, of Conifer Crest, Newbury, is charged with pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of David Evans at Newbury Business Park on April 26 last year by being verbally abusive to him in public.

Ms Sparkes did not attend the hearing but was legally represented by Mike Davis and she has previously entered a not guilty plea to the single charge.

Magistrates ruled the case could proceed no further that day and adjourned it for a trial to be fixed.

Ms Sparkes was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
