Reading Magistrates' Court: Newbury woman denies revenge porn offence

A WOMAN has appeared in court where she denied committing a revenge porn offence.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday, August 11, was Megan Gregory.

The 23-year-old, of Hamilton Court, Newbury, is accused of disclosing a private sexual photograph or film of a woman with the intention of causing that person distress.

Charlotte Abbott, prosecuting, said the offence was committed on or before December 22 last year.

Ms Gregory spoke only to confirm her details and to deny the single offence.

Joanne Benn, defending, said her client would contest the prosecution claim that the image she posted of an alleged love rival was sexual.

Magistrates said the case could proceed no further that day and adjourned it for a trial to be prepared.

Ms Gregory was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
