Woman dies in Sutton Scotney collision





According to Hampshire Constabulary, a middle-aged woman was pronounced dead following the collision, shortly before 6.30am.near the junction of the A30 and the A272.
The deceased, who has not yet been named by police, was the driver in one of the vehicles, which was also carrying a young adult woman. This passenger was taken to hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.
The second vehicle contained two people: the driver - a middle-aged man, and a passenger - a young boy, both of whom received injuries that were not life-threatening.
The road was closed whilst a police investigation was carried out.
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Eastleigh police station, on the non emergency telephone number, 101 and quoting Operation Tyl.
