Woman killed in A4 crash this morning (Wednesday)

The 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, near the junction with the A4 and Milkhouse Road in Marsh Benham, following a collision between the vehicle she was driving, a black Vauxhall Corsa, and a grey Audi A4 at around 10.40am.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Lucy Billen, said the woman was from Thatcham and her next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the Audi, a woman in her twenties, and her infant passenger were both airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
Police say that the woman is in a serious but stable condition and the infant, while not injured, was taken to hospital as a precaution.
The woman and her the child are also believed to be from Thatcham.
The road remains closed while recovery work is carried out.
Police would appeal to anyone who saw the vehicles prior to the incident, or the collision itself to contact Senior Investigating Officer, Richard Thorpe of the Roads Death Investigation Team via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
