A34 crash: Woman remains in hospital with serious injuries as Thames Valley Police appeal for witnesses




A woman remains in hospital after a crash on the A34 at the weekend.

She suffered serious injuries in the incident near East Ilsley at around 3pm on Sunday (January 26), but is now in a stable condition.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

The crash happened when a silver Porsche was travelling on the A34 southbound just after the East Ilsley junction.

The vehicle swerved across both lanes of the carriageway and came to rest at the bottom of the embankment.

The driver, a man in his fifties, suffered minor injuries, but the woman, who is also in her fifties and was the passenger in the car, suffered serious injuries.

PC Shaun Kipling, of the joint operations roads policing unit, said: “We are carrying out an investigation following this collision in which a woman was seriously injured.

“We are appealing for witnesses who were on the A34 at this busy time of the day.”
