Woman raped in Newbury





The 19-year-old woman was walking along the A4 London road with the offender, who was known to her.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Francine Rodrigues, said that the rape was reported between 11:30pm on Saturday and 12:15am today (Sunday).
Investigating officer, Det Sgt Dave Turton, said: “This is believed to be an isolated incident in which the offender was known to the victim.
"It occurred in a public place and we are appealing for anyone who may have information to assist with our investigations to contact us.”
