Hungerford motorist Sharon Lance sentenced for drink-driving

A WOMAN was caught behind the wheel after drinking twice the legal limit.

Sharon Lance appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 31.

The 56-year-old, of Priory Road, Hungerford, admitted driving an Audi A6 on Church Way, Hungerford, on Tuesday, September 5, after drinbking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 70mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in her system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Ms Lance, who was legally represented at the hearing, was fined £350.

In addition, she was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £140.

Finally, Ms Lance was banned from driving for 18 months.
