Woman seriously injured following collision near Theale




Appeal launched after pedestrian hit by a car

A woman had her neck broken after being hit by a car in West Berkshire.

The woman, aged in her 50s, was struck by a red Peugeot 306 on Hangar Road between Theale and Burghfield.

She sustained serious injuries, including a broken neck and fractured ribs, and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

The incident occurred around 7.35pm on Thursday, October 27.

Investigating officer PC Justin Thomas said: "I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information which could assist the investigation to please contact the police."

Anyone with information should contact PC Thomas by calling the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
