Woman taken to hospital in life-threatening condition
Medical episode drama unfolds in Tadley
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition following an incident in Tadley this morning (Monday), with an air ambulance called to the scene.
South Central Ambulance Service was called at 10.18am to a road near The Green after a person was discovered at the location by the side of a car with a head injury and in a life-threatening condition.
"Crews on scene believe the patient suffered a medical emergency and as a result, collapsed and suffered a head injury," aid David Gallagher, a spokesman for the ambulance service.
"As well as the air ambulance, we sent two officers, an ambulance and the local Tadley community first responder to the scene."
The patient was taken by road to the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, with the air ambulance crew travelling in the back of the ambulance.
Police carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area and several police cars were reported to be at the scene.
