Reading Magistrates' Court: woman was drunk in charge of child at Newbury nursery school

A WOMAN has been convicted of being drunk in charge of a child at a Newbury nursery school.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 11, was Belmira Carvalho of Skyllings.
The 45-year-old admitted being found drunk in a public place - namely, Victoria Park Nursery School in Newbury - on Wednesday, July 7, while having the charge of a child aged under seven years.
She further admitted an assault by beating on the same occasion.
Magistrates ordered pre-sentence reports to be prepared and Ms Carvalho was meanwhile released on conditional bail.
