Athena event in support of West Berks Foodbank being held in the Waterside Centre

The woman’s networking organisation Athena is holding a pop-up event in aid of the West Berks Foodbank later this month.

The event, which will be held at Colline’s Kitchen in the Waterside Centre on Tuesday, October 18, aims to attract new members to the international business club for female entrepreneurs.

Taking place between 7pm and 9pm, the event will give those that attend an understanding of how Athena operates by speaking to current Athena members in the area.

Caroline Snowden, regional director for Athena in West Berkshire, said: “This will be an opportunity for people to network and just get a feel for what Athena is about and see if they want to take it any further.”

Mrs Snowdon also wants the event to give women a flavour of Athena without having to commit to a formal meeting.

It will be an informal drop-in session, and those attending will be able to purchase refreshments from Colline’s Kitchen.

Tickets are £5 and can be purchased here https://bit.ly/3rubkHQ

All proceeds will be donated to West Berks Foodbank.

The Athena network currently has over 1,300 members and it aims to help women network, connect collaborate and learn in the world of business.
