The Woodspeen scores another top local restaurant award
The Woodspeen restaurant has received another nod this year, this time from The Good Food Guide in its 100 Best Local Restaurant Awards.
The awards – which received an unprecedented 60,000 nominations over the six-week research period this year – recognise establishments outside of London which offer changing, seasonal menus at affordable prices and demonstrate strong relationships with suppliers and their communities.
And The Woodspeen, near Newbury, made the list.
“As we enter our 10th year of service, it is still an honour to be recognised by our loyal customers who visit The Woodspeen from all over the country,” said executive chef Peter Eaton.
“Our aim is always to deliver great food and service, and a memorable experience to all that set foot in our restaurant.
“Accolades like this reflect the hard work of our fantastic front and back of house teams, and, without them, The Woodspeen would not be what it is today.”
The Med in Brighton won Best Local Restaurant in the South East regional category.
All reviews and nominations are conducted anonymously and considered by The Good Food Guide team.
All meals are paid for in full, so no establishment can buy their way into the guide.
The Best Local Restaurant award began in the 2010 edition of The Good Food Guide.
