Woolhampton mother nominated for blogging award

Molly Forbes has been nominated in the best baby blog category of the national Mum and Dad Blog Awards

A FORMER Heart Radio presenter and local mother has reached the finals of a prestigious national parent bloggers awards.

Molly Forbes has been nominated in the best baby blog category at the Mum and Dad (MAD) Blog Awards for her blog, Mother's Always Right.

The 27-year-old, who lives with her partner, Simon Weaver, aged 30, in Woolhampton, started her blog in February following the birth of the couple's first child, Freya, on June 27 last year.

“When Freya was first born I spent a lot of time reading parenting websites for information and advice. I got sick of hearing the same information that made parenting sound really easy so I decided to write my own blog which I wanted to be open and honest,” she said.

“I manage to write the blog when Freya is having a nap in the day or in the evening. I do freelance work as well so I have to fit the blog around that. If Freya has had a bad day I know i'm going to be up at 1am writing the blog but I find it therapeutic.

“I'm so surprised to be nominated because my blog is so new and I'm up against some established blogs.”

Blog fans have three weeks to vote for their favourite blogs at the MAD Blog Awards website, which can be accessed by clicking the link below, with the winners announced in September.
